Capital Requirements for Banks Equity Investments in Funds

This document presents the Basel Committee’s final policy framework for calculating the capital requirements for banks’ equity investments in funds that are held in their banking book, including text for the final standard. This follows the consultative document published in July 2013.1 The Committee wishes to thank respondents for their comments in this regard.
