This document gives a short overview of the ways in which behavioral insights are relevant for financial education (FE) and summarizes five key lessons that policy makers can follow: (1) financial educational content focused, straightforward and simple to understand; (2) more customized FE programs; (3) design programs that help people take actions; (4) consider using digital channels to facilitate the application of behavioral insights, and (5) application of existing behavioral frameworks to design behaviorally informed programs.
